Citric acid is a natural, versatile and fully biodegradable product. Softens laundry, removes limescale, removes hardened dirt from the bottom of pots, brightens dishes in the dishwasher. Used dissolved in water to make home cleaning products. Do not use on marble, stone, wood or surfaces where it is not recommended to use acidic substances.
RECIPES WITH CITRIC ACID GRANULES
LAUNDRY SOFTENER: 150-250g citric acid per 1 liter of water. Dissolve granules in 1 liter of water. Pour 100ml of the mixture into the fabric softener compartment for each wash. For hand washing, add 100ml during the last rinse.
BRIGHTENER FOR DISHWASHER: 150-250g citric acid per 1 liter of water. Makes the dishes shine and makes the glasses crystal clear. Pour the resulting mixture into the brightener compartment and turn the regulator to the „max“ mark.
LIMESCALE REMOVER FOR TILES, SINKS: 150g citric acid per 1 liter of water is suitable for removing limescale. Dissolve granules, put in a spray bottle. Spray on sanitary ware, sinks, tiles. Let it act for 2 minutes and clean with a cloth.
REMOVING LIMESCALE FROM THE IRON: Pour the descaling liquid into the iron’s water tank. Heat up the iron and start the steam mode. When the steam comes out, turn off the iron, let it cool down, rinse with water and let it dry. If necessary, you can let the mixture work a little before steaming.
CLEANING THE KETTLE:
- Fill the kettle with water. Add a few tablespoons of citric acid.
- Bring the water to a boil.
- Let the boiled water cool in the kettle and then let it stand for a while.
- Empty, remove any remaining limescale with a cloth.
CLEANING THE WASHING MACHINE AND DISHWASHER: Use 75-100g of granules for periodic cleaning of the washing machine and dishwasher. Pour the clean granules into the detergent compartment and let the machine run without laundry/dishes at 60 °.
GLASS AND MIRROR CLEANING: Add 1 tbsp citric acid and 1 tbsp dishwashing liquid to 750ml of water in a spray bottle. Shake to mix and use.
ELIMINATING PIPE CLOGGING: Pour 100g of baking soda into the clogged drain. Then immediately pour 200ml of water in which 30g of citric acid has been dissolved.
CLEANING POTS, PANS AND STAINLESS STEEL SURFACES. DO NOT USE ON CHROMED SURFACES!
150-200g citric acid per 800ml of water. Plus 1 tbsp dishwashing liquid. Put in a spray bottle, shake, spray on the surfaces, let it sit for a while and clean.
TOILET CLEANING: Pour a mixture of 50-75g citric acid and 1 liter of water into the toilet. Leave to stand overnight.
Caution: Causes serious eye irritation. Keep the container or product label available when seeking medical advice. Wear protective gloves and eye/face protection. In case of eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists, seek medical advice/attention. Keep out of reach of children.
Storage: In a closed jar – protected from light, moisture and heat.
